The Six Seal Patented
Tongue and Groove System
True north's Six Seal system is an example of the kind of research and technology that makes True North the #1 Choice among log home buyers today.
The jaws hidden inside the LOG LOCK combined with the 2500 lb. compression spring are designed to permit the LOG LOCK to ONLY go downward one-way on the LOCKING threaded rod. the LOG LOCK prevents logs from lifting, bowing or separating due to the naturally ocuring shrinkage and the settlement in log walls. Log Lock Compression Systems are placed on each side of doors and windows and spaced evenly where ever needed around your log Home.
The Finest Wood in North America
The most valuable soft wood in North America goes into every True North log home. Only the durable heartwood of the log is used, making the log extremely stable. This assures that settlement of the logs will be minimal - not exceeding one inch in an eight-foot wall height. Western red cedar is also available upon request.
Because True North Log Homes is an industry leader with the BEST log home technology than anyone presently in the industry or in the past!
Patented Key Spline Air Seal Systems
True north again uses the naturally occurring shrinkage in the width and length of the log to its fullest advantage, making the logs butting joints tighter (as shown with green arrows). True North's patented Key Spline when inserted, tightens the log interfaces together. Over time the log shrinks towards the Key Splines ensuring an airtight seal.
Patented Butt Spline Assembly
The Green arrows demonstrate the natural shrinkage in the width of the log. The log squeezes on the radius of the butt spline assembly. At the same time, shown with blue arrows, the log shrinks longitudinally, pulling on the butt spline assembly, making the joint progressively tighter over time.
